Who told you crafting had to be solitary? Most of the time we may relish our quiet time perfecting our individual crafts, trying new things, expanding our horizons. However, there is nothing quite so much fun as a crafting party!

One year my sisters and I decided we were going to make a quilt when we had our annual get together.

We each grabbed a tub or box full of scraps [if you sew, you HAVE scraps!], sewing machines, scissors, rotary cutters and boards, some soft flannel backing and headed for Mom's house.

After a great deal of discussion, head shaking, laughter and so forth......we got going with squares...

and ended up with this:

What we don't have pictures of are the wonderful treats we ate, the margaritas we drank, the mistakes we had to pick out and do over, or anything else to show the delightful time we had. The quilt? It was given to the expectant daughter of a family friend.
