Simple idea for beginner stained glass projects.

Start with a simple design and reproduce in bright stained glass.

Don’t make your pieces too small or intricate or you will get burned out and discouraged.

I have made some very attractive pieces out of simple shapes. Especially nice to just piece around a beveled shape. I always used the copper foil method and a simple solder gun.

You can buy small pieces (1 square foot) of most glass colors and sometimes pick up "remnants" for less $.
Start with colors you REALLY like so you will enjoy the creation. I look at working with glass much like working with fabric. It is the pleasing combination of colors and shapes that appeal to the creative side of my personality. There are many books available to guide you through the steps of making glass projects.

Here is a picture of one of the first projects I made some years ago.
